Description

When the clock strikes midnight in The Cursed Cuckoo Haus, it isn't a little bird that pops out to call "cuckoo." Instead, the window at the top of the cursed clockhouse opens, and a grinning witch appears before slipping back into the darkness. Shortly after, the cloak-clad phantoms begin to move in and out through the doors. In Spooky Town even an old cuckoo has become something you'd rather not stand in front of at midnight.

The entire building is shaped like a huge, macabre cuckoo with a clock face on the facade, skulls along the roof and walls, and gloomy figures at the entrance. When the clock is set in motion, it strikes, the witch appears, and the phantoms periodically move through the doors. External light effects and atmospheric sound make the display even more lifelike. The sound can be turned on and off, and the volume can be adjusted. As with other mechanical Lemax models, a slight noise from the mechanism should be expected during operation.

The Cursed Cuckoo Haus also has a special story. The idea was created by Mark Cheever and won the Lemax competition “You Name It. We Create It.” in 2017. Later, this imaginative take on a haunted cuckoo was made into an actual Lemax model.

So if you hear the clock strike midnight in your Halloween town, you know what comes next. First the witch appears. Then the phantoms begin to wander. The only thing left is to find out who the clock is really counting down for.

The Cursed Cuckoo Haus is part of the Lemax Spooky Town series.
