Candle holder with curved rim for taper candles to fit in a bottle

A bottle or an apothecary jar quickly gains a new function with this decorative candle holder from Ib Laursen. The holder is placed into the opening of the jar or bottle and transforms it into a candlestick for regular taper candles with a diameter of 2.2 cm. This model has a wide, softly curved rim around the holder that forms a small bowl and gives a fuller, more decorative expression.

The holder is made of antique gold-colored metal with a warm, rustic color variation. The golden tone looks beautiful with clear glass, but can also be combined with old bottles and colored glass if you want the candlestick to have more character.

If you use the holder in an apothecary jar, the jar itself becomes part of the decoration. Fill it with seasonal decorations. In spring, small decorative eggs and natural materials work well, while dried flowers, pine cones, nuts, or seed heads can create a warm autumnal look.

At Christmas there are even more possibilities. Fill the apothecary jar with small baubles, pine cones, artificial snow, or other Christmas decorations, and place the taper candle on top. The antique gold finish pairs particularly well with the season’s green, red, and gold tones.
