Storm lantern with bulb, 34 cm high

This storm lantern from Speedtsberg has the same nostalgic look as the larger model, but its 34 cm size makes it easy to find a place for around the home. The lantern is made of antique bronze-colored metal and clear glass. The large round glass around the bulb underscores the inspiration from old-fashioned storm lanterns and kerosene lamps.

The lantern is battery-powered, so it can be placed without a visible cord. Use it on a bookcase, chest of drawers, shelf, or windowsill, where it looks attractive in daylight and becomes a cozy source of light when darkness falls. The rustic metal and glass make it easy to combine with wood, ceramics, baskets, and other natural materials.

Throughout autumn and especially during the winter months, this kind of ambient lighting is extra cozy. Place the lantern together with dried branches and pine cones, or let it stand alone as a small illuminated focal point on dark evenings.

For Christmas, you can simply add a little spruce, larch branches, or a few baubles to the surroundings and include the lantern in the decorations without turning it into a pure Christmas ornament. The model is also available in a larger 43 cm version, and the two sizes look great grouped together if you want to create a small arrangement of nostalgic lights.
