Julekalender med lastbil

The journey home to Christmas coziness begins! On this charming advent calendar from Ib Laursen, a small red truck will travel through December to arrive on Christmas Eve. Under the row of little houses is the cozy text "Home to Christmas coziness", which fits perfectly with the joy of anticipation and all the traditions that belong to December. It is an advent calendar where the countdown becomes a little story about coming home for Christmas.

The little truck is moved one day at a time along the 24 numbered houses. Each morning children can find the current date and help the truck a little further along the route. Maybe it is on its way home with Christmas presents, or perhaps the family is already waiting with freshly baked cookies and hot cocoa? Children can imagine the rest themselves as the days slowly approach December 24.

The advent calendar has a simple, nostalgic look with a natural wood finish, little rooftops and the red truck as a charming splash of color. It is perfect to place on a windowsill, where it can stand together with small spruce trees, gnomes or a string of lights. On a shelf or dresser it can also become part of a cozy Christmas scene, where the truck is joined by small parcels and other Christmas decorations.

With a length of 50 cm, a width of 2.5 cm and a height of just under 5 cm, the advent calendar has a long, narrow shape that does not require much depth. It is made from MDF and can be carefully packed away after Christmas so it is ready for another December the following year.

A wooden advent calendar is something completely different from a calendar that is emptied and thrown away on Christmas Eve. It can accompany the family through many Decembers and become a permanent part of the Christmas traditions. Maybe the youngest in the family gets to move the truck, or maybe the children take turns sending it on its journey.

And when the little red truck finally reaches December 24, it is no longer just text on the calendar. Now it is truly time for Christmas coziness.
