Apothecary Glass Vase and Candlestick

The completely clear apothecary glass from Ib Laursen is simple in form but offers several uses. Without pattern or color, the glass has a calm expression, allowing whatever you choose to put in it to determine the style. Use it as a small vase one day and as a candle holder the next, and easily change the look according to the season and table setting.

The apothecary glass is 11 cm high and measures 5.5 cm in diameter at the base. As a vase it suits a single flower, a couple of short stems, or a small branch. Place several glasses in a row with different flowers, or use a single one on a shelf, windowsill, or dining table.

The narrow opening also makes it possible to use the glass as a candle holder for taper candles with a diameter of 2.2 cm. The candle can be placed directly in the opening, or you can combine the glass with one of Ib Laursen's separate candle holders designed to be inserted into bottles and apothecary glasses.

The simple clear glass makes this model suitable year-round. Fill it with spring flowers, small summer stems, or autumn branches, and at Christmas several apothecary glasses with taper candles can stand among fir and decorations on the table. Also try mixing vases and candle holders in the same arrangement to create variation in height. You can also add decorative fillings to the glass, such as ribbon or fir.
