Mailbox shaped Christmas calendar

The red mailbox was once a common sight in Danish streets and lanes, but today it has become pure nostalgia. This advent calendar brings the familiar red mailbox back in a cozy build-it-yourself edition, filled with retro charm, Christmas elves and the joyful anticipation leading up to Christmas Eve.

The advent calendar is delivered flat and must be assembled, after which it measures a full 42 cm in height. On the side of the mailbox are 24 numbered doors, one for each day from December 1st to 24th. Behind each door awaits a small illustration, so every morning there is a new scene to discover.

The classic mailbox shape also makes the calendar a decorative Christmas ornament. Place it on a dresser, a table, or perhaps in the hallway, where the red color and the old-fashioned illustrations can create a festive atmosphere throughout December.

For adults, it can evoke memories of the time when handwritten Christmas cards were dropped into the red mailboxes around town. For children it becomes a fun advent calendar with 24 small doors and pictures that are slowly revealed as Christmas Eve approaches.

Now that the red mailboxes have disappeared from the streetscape, the motif feels even more nostalgic. A truly retro advent calendar where an old Danish everyday classic gets new life as part of the Christmas season.
