Julekugle De vise mænd Balthazar

Balthazar appears as a colorful and detailed glass Christmas figure from Speedtsberg. The tall, slender shape and the beautiful costume in turquoise, gold, green and red make the hanging ornament a striking focal point among the tree's more traditional baubles. The many patterns and gold-colored details give the figure an almost fairytale-like expression and complement the warm colors of the season.

Balthazar is one of the three Wise Men from the East who, according to the Christmas story, followed the star to the baby Jesus with precious gifts. In tradition, Balthazar is often associated with myrrh, while Melchior and Casper are associated with the other gifts.

The Christmas ornament is made of glass and measures a full 19 cm in height. The elongated shape makes it especially attractive at the tip of a branch, where the figure has room to hang freely and the many details can be clearly seen.

Balthazar can hang alone as an unusual Christmas ornament, but is particularly lovely together with Melchior and Casper from the same series. Together the three figures tell the story of the Three Holy Kings and can suitably be left hanging, for example on a branch, right up until Epiphany (Three Kings' Day).
