Pinecone Wreath with 7 Vases

Seven small cones are gathered in a ring, making this vase from Ib Laursen a decoration in itself even before anything is placed inside. The cones are made of stoneware with a warm brown glaze that highlights the many scales and gives the surface a lively, nature-inspired look. Each cone has its own small opening so you can distribute short flower stems, branches and greenery around the ring.

The cone ring measures 17.5 cm in diameter and 6.8 cm in height. The low shape makes it especially nice in the middle of the dining table, where it can decorate without obstructing the view across the table. Use different stems in the six small vases, or repeat the same flower all the way around for a calmer look.

In autumn the cones can be filled with small twigs, cone-bearing branches, dried flowers and warm autumn colors. For Christmas, pine, spruce, eucalyptus or small red berries are natural choices and can transform the cone ring into an unusual Christmas decoration.
