Forest elf taking care of household chores

At Skovfolket, the day’s chores are carried out with good cheer, because there’s always something to be done as Christmas approaches. Here the busy elves are hard at work. They saw firewood, carry water, sweep with brooms, and water the garden so both house and garden can be ready for the Christmas season.

The working elves are part of POBRAS' popular Skovfolket series, designed by Susanna Hartmann. Each elf has its own task and pose, and the red hats, striped trousers, sturdy boots, and many hand-painted details give them the familiar, lively Skovfolket look.

The figures are approx. 20 cm tall, making them perfect as standalone Christmas decorations. Place an elf on a windowsill, on a shelf or dresser, or choose several to create a small scene where the Skovfolket help each other with their daily tasks.

They can also be part of a larger elf display, where their various tools offer plenty of opportunities to build little stories around the elf houses. Maybe firewood needs to be chopped for winter, the doorstep swept, or water fetched before the elves can finally call it a day and begin enjoying the holiday coziness.
