Tealight House with Green Door, Nyhavn

Like a small piece of Copenhagen city atmosphere for the home, this ceramic house from Ib Laursens Nyhavn series stands with its tall, narrow facade and many small windows. The light beige facade is combined with a brown roof and a striking green door that gives the house a nice color accent. The many floors and windows emphasize the feeling of a classic town house and set the Nyhavn series apart from Ib Laursens' lower Ebeltoft houses.

The house is made of stoneware with a lively glaze that highlights the small irregularities and details in the facade. Place a tealight or an LED tealight inside and the many windows will emit a warm glow. Especially in the evening this creates a cozy effect, although the house also works well as a decoration without a light during the day.

The Nyhavn house is perfect on the windowsill, where the tall and relatively narrow shape doesn't take up much space. Also place it on a shelf, in the sunroom, or on a covered balcony, where the ceramic house can sit among plants, lanterns and other decorative elements.
