Monstarcade

In the middle of Spooky Town, the crooked arcade lures both the brave and the curious inside. The flashing signs promise hours of entertainment, but the large “Game Over” sign suggests that not all players come away so lucky from the visit. Dark, black branches wind up the façade, as if the building itself is slowly being swallowed by something supernatural. Even the name Monstarcade reveals that this is hardly an ordinary arcade.

The building from Lemax Spooky Town is filled with lights, colors and small details from the world of arcades. Bright LED light strips blink along the façade, the signs are lit, and through the open lower floor the arcade machines can be seen ready for the next guest. At the top towers the enormous arcade machine with joystick, buttons and the ominous Game Over on the screen. The combination of colorful light effects, arcade machines and the dark, almost living foliage creates a fun blend of arcade and Halloween spookiness.

Monstarcade could become a prime entertainment spot among the shops, restaurants and other buildings in a Halloween town. When the lights come on, it's hard not to want to take a closer look at the strange arcade. But you may want to think twice before you drop the first coin into the machine. In Spooky Town, Game Over could very well mean something entirely different than losing a single game.
