Dark Green Moss Mat

When you only need a small patch of natural forest floor, this flat moss mat from MyVillage is easy to work into scenes between houses, trees and figures. Real moss is used on a brown paper backing, which gives a more organic and uneven look than artificial moss mats.

The moss mat measures 30 x 20 cm and is relatively flat. The green moss covers most of the surface, but in some places the brown paper backing can be seen between the moss. This creates variation and can resemble earth peeking through the forest floor.

Use the mat whole as a small green area in your Christmas landscape, or cut it into smaller pieces and place them around fir trees, houses, paths and woodland animals. It is particularly nice for the rural part of the Christmas village or for a forest scene with, for example, deer and foxes.

To create a wintry atmosphere, sprinkle a little artificial snow over the moss and leave some of the green and brown visible. This way you get the feeling of a forest floor where the season's first snow has just settled.

The smaller moss mat can also be used for autumn scenes and other nature-inspired miniature decorations.
