Heathered Gray Brick Underlay

Gray-mottled bricks can be used for much more than just a road through the Christmas town. This A4 sheet with small bricks lets you create pavings, squares and walls, and is especially useful when the Christmas landscape is built up on different levels.

The sheet is made of coated paper and can easily be trimmed with ordinary scissors. Use it laid flat as a brick-paved square in front of shops, around the church, or as smaller roads and courtyards between the Christmas houses.

You can also turn the idea around and use the brick sheet vertically. For example, build a raised area in the Christmas landscape, cover the sides with the brick motif and place the town's church or a larger house on top. That way you can create retaining walls, terraces and height differences that give the Christmas town more depth and make the display far less flat.

The small gray-mottled bricks fit well among both classic and more wintry Christmas houses. Combine them with stairs, lampposts, fences and figures, and optionally add a little artificial snow along the edges to make the masonry blend naturally into the winter landscape.
