Skeleton Cottage

If you value your life, you probably won't get too close to Skeleton Cottage. A single glance at the house's chimney says it all. It is built of skulls from top to bottom, and the rest of the cottage looks little more reassuring. Bones and skeletal parts are used around both the walls and the porch, so you almost start wondering if they are also hiding inside the structure itself.

Two glowing pumpkins stand by the front door, but they do little to make the place more welcoming. A small “Keep Out” sign with a skull stands by the path, though after seeing the macabre chimney it seems rather unnecessary. When the light inside the house is switched on, it proves that someone actually resides behind the closed wooden door.

Skeleton Cottage can be tucked away in the darker part of the Halloween landscape, where only the bravest residents dare to go. But the big question remains: who built the cottage, and more importantly, where did the owner get all the bones from? Maybe it's still a good idea to take the “Keep Out” sign seriously.
