Spooky Staircase

High up on the old, crumbling stone staircase stands the Grim Reaper, welcoming visitors to his dark realm. With his arms outstretched and an ominous grin, he almost seems to invite passersby closer. But before accepting that invitation, you might want to look down at the many bones and skulls scattered around the base of the steps. They tell their own story of what can happen when you get a little too close to the ruler of death.

Spooky Staircase is constructed like an old stone ruin with a staircase leading up to the gloomy figure. The masonry has collapsed in places, and beneath the stairs a dark opening hides, filled with skeletal remains. Tombstones, loose skulls and withered leaves complete the eerie scene, where the Grim Reaper presides over it all in his long black cloak. There is something almost majestic about his position, but he is hardly the kind of king you'd want to meet.

The old staircase can become an exciting part of a cemetery, an abandoned ruin, or a particularly sinister area in your Halloween display. It adds height and offers the chance to build little stories around Spooky Town's more eerie residents. And if you feel like climbing the stairs, remember to count the steps on the way up — you may not get the chance to count them again on the way down.

Spooky Staircase is part of the Lemax Spooky Town series.
